RetireMap ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Babao Software LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how this tool handles your information. We have designed RetireMap with a privacy-first philosophy: no personal data ever leaves your device.
1. No Data Collection
RetireMap is a fully client-side application. All calculations run entirely within your browser. We do not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal or financial information on any server. There is no account system, no sign-in, and no form submission that sends data to us.
2. Local Storage
RetireMap saves your plan inputs (ages, account balances, income figures) to your
browser's localStorage under the key retiremap-plan. This data
is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear
it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using your browser's developer tools.
3. Anonymous Usage Analytics
RetireMap uses Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool, to collect anonymous usage statistics. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. The data collected includes only aggregate, non-identifiable information such as page views, session duration, approximate geographic region (country-level), browser type, and device type.
Our Umami instance is self-hosted on our own server at
stats.retiremap.app. No data is sent to Umami's company servers or any
third-party analytics provider. Your financial inputs are never part of any analytics
event.
4. No Cookies, No Advertising Trackers
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or cross-site tracking of any kind. We do not share any data with advertisers or data brokers. The anonymous analytics described in Section 3 are the only network requests made on your behalf beyond loading the application itself.
5. Children's Privacy
RetireMap is intended for adults making retirement planning decisions. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, no special risk applies.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision.
